Ministry Mission: To serve those in need in our community by lifting up the name of Jesus, showing them the love of Christ, speaking to them of the hope of salvation, and providing them resources that transform their lives.

Ministry Vision: The Outside the Walls outreach ministry is a beacon of light and support in our community and in surrounding communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive in the love and hope of Jesus Christ.

Ministry Focus: Homelessness, mental health, and substance abuse support in New Albany and surrounding communities

Raises awareness of the effects substance abuse has on the community 

• Increases incidents of mental and physical conditions, disabilities, and deaths as a result of disease, accident, or suicide1

• Can lead to higher incidence of housing instability, homelessness, criminal behavior, incarceration, and unemployment.1 

Early prevention and detection through

• Early education of school age children about the dangers of drug use

• Encourage healthy diet and physical activity

Look for signs of substance abuse

• • Behavior/mood changes 

  • Change in performance at school or work

  • Isolation/detachment from family, friends or activities

  • Change in appearance

  • Association with a different group of friends
